The Bodrum to South Greek Islands Sail is one of the best blue cruises you can choose if you are wanting to see the best both countries have to offer. As Greece and Turkey are neighbouring countries it is easy to incorporate both of them in your one Sail Turkey holiday. You will be spoilt on this blue cruise as you will not only get to visit some of the Greek Islands and be on shore to enjoy the best of what they offer, but you are also able to enjoy the natural beauty and secluded bays that the Turkish Southern coastline offers.

You will be on a gulet that is slightly higher than a standard gulet. These traditional Turkish gulets are beautiful boats and there is always plenty of space
for everyone on deck. The cabins are normally all double cabins and on this charter you are spoilt with the luxury of air conditioning in your cabins. So there is no need to go sleep on deck, unless of course you want to sleep under the stars. The cabins will all have private bathrooms and bedding is provided but we ask you to pack your own towels for the bathroom and for swimming. On deck there is always sun beds for you to work on your tan and when you feel like you have had enough of the sun there is always shaded areas for you to relax under.

The Sail South Greek Islands one week cruise is the best option to see the differences in the lifestyle of these neighbouring countries. You will start
in the vibrant town of Bodrum where it does not look too different to an actual Greek Island with its white washed houses and cobbled streets. Enjoy the nightlife here, which it is well known for before you leave Turkey to head to some of the most eclectic mixes of the South Greek Islands. You Bodrum Sail adventure will start on the island of Kos, you will also get to visit the smaller Nisyros Island where there an optional excursion on offer. Symi is a quieter town for you to recharge your batteries before you visit Rhodes, also well known for its medieval ruins and vibrant nightlife. You will then cruise back into Turkish waters to get your time to completely unwind, relax and chill out in the beautiful Turquoise waters. This cruise really is a good mix for those who want a bit of a party, but also need some time out.

BODRUM - SOUTH GREEK ISLANDS A/C Gulet Cruise Itinerary

Day 1

Bodrum

Today it is time to start you Sail South Greek Islands cruise. We ask that you contact our office the day before to learn of the meeting spot in Bodrum where you will have to be by 3:30pm. The ground crew there will then take you to the boat. If you think you will be later than that - don't worry as you spend the first night in Bodrum harbour - so please just let the Sail Turkey staff know at the time of your booking and they can advise the ground crew of your late arrival. For those on time, you will be taken to your boat where you will be checked into your cabins and get time to meet your friendly crew, new friends you will be sailing with for the next week and get to explore the boat. You will have dinner on board and then the night is yours. You may want to head back into Bodrum to wander around and soak up the atmosphere or if you are ready for a night out - then Bodrum nightclubs are some of the best in the country. (D)

Day 2

Bodrum to Kos

This morning, once breakfast is served it is time to wave goodbye to the Southern coastline of Turkey as you set sail for Kos. This is your first stop in the Greek Islands on your Bodrum to South Greek Islands Sail week. In Kos you can enjoy wandering the streets, sitting in a cafe to compare the local beers to the Turkish ones you have just had or you may choose to go swimming at the near by Lambi Beach. If you are into your history - then wander around the island to the Asklepieion, a large healing temple from the ancient times. Kos was the birthplace of Hippocrates - the father of medicine. If you haven't burnt out from the night before then Kos has some great nightlife. Head to Nafklirou which is the place to go for a night out whilst in Kos. (B, L, D)

Day 3

Kos to Nysiros island via Gyali Bay

We leave Kos early this morning to get you to the island of Nisyros and will have a swimming break in a beautiful bay at Gyali Island along the way. Here is your first chance for a swim to wake yourself up from the night before and whilst you are on this island there is an optional excursion to go visit the volcano - which is still an active one today and has been that way since 1422. Speak to your crew on board who can organise this for you. You will spend the night at Nysiros and have dinner under the stars. (B, L, D)

Day 4

Symi

Today we will head on to the wonderful Island of Symi, and anchor down in the gorgeous bay of Nanou where we will have lunch and swim in the refreshing sea. After Nanou the boat will moor in the port of Symi for the rest of the day, where you can spend some time roaming around the city. You will be amazed by the neo-classical houses and the peripheral districts and architecture that blends in with the surrounding natural vistas. There is so much to see on Symi, we recommend strolling down the cobbled streets and climbing the hundreds of stairs around colourful houses. (B, L, D)

Day 5

Rhodes

This morning it is an early start to get you onto the largest of the Greek Islands - Rhodes. We get you here nice and early as there is plenty to do on the island. There is a recommended day tour of the island that you can do for your day here. Rhodes has an ancient medieval city and fortress that is Heritage World Listed. So there is plenty of history and sights to see within the old town. The tour will take you around with a local professional guide so you can truly appreciate the history of Rhodes. If history is not really your thing there is another optional day tour to another part of the island - Lindos. After your busy day on the island, you will have dinner on board before you can get your dancing shoes back on and head back into Rhodes Old Town or back to Lindos to enjoy the nightlife that Rhodes is famous for. (B, L, D)

Day 6

Datca - Palamutbuku - Knidos

We farewell Rhodes this morning to cruise back into Turkish waters and head for Datca. This is a beautiful and very historical area that dates back to the 7th Century B.C. You will have time to wander through Datca before you will get back on board and head to Palamutbuku for some total relaxation time to enjoy the beautiful blue waters. You can spend your time here swimming or you may like to head to the little beach that has the beautiful backdrop of the pine trees coming down to the meet the ocean's edge.

You will be able to enjoy sometime here before you get another swimming stop in at Knidos where we will anchor down for the evening. There is the chance again here to put on your walking shoes and take a walk through the ruins of this area. This ancient Greek City was once well known for its science, art and architecture. Take your time here, as we will spend the evening in this quiet little bay. (B, L, D)

Day 7

Black Island - Poyraz Harbour - Bodrum

Today it is time to head back into Bodrum Harbour. You will be anchoring back in the harbour later in the afternoon, so you have until then to enjoy the last of the beautiful swimming stops as you head on your way. First stop today is at Black Island. Enjoy the stunning turquoise waters that surround this island before cruising onto Poyraz Bay. This is your last chance to enjoy being out to sea and the luxury of just being able to jump from your Turkish gulet into the beautiful blue waters surrounding you. So lap it up, enjoy it one last time before you will cruise into Bodrum Harbour. You then have the afternoon and evening in harbour to wander through the town, do a spot of shopping, take in some of the sights or just enjoy chilling in one of the cafes. Dinner will be served on board before you can hit up Bodrum for one last night of partying with your new friends. (B, L, D)
